ART REQUIREMENTS & PC FILE FORMATS

PC files attached to e-mail are preferred. Black and white line art is required for engraving

Logos only required. We will reset all text in our system in fonts suitable for engraving.

Names Attach a Microsoft Word file, or included in e-mail. Excel tables are also acceptable

Camera ready art if supplied to be LARGE, at least 4 times the final engraving size.

Cost of conversion and /or clean up of files will be cleared in advance

TEXT
E-mail attached file with text or lists of names in Word /Excel 2000 file

FONTS
We require minimum 1 pt line at final engraving size. Many fonts suitable on paper are NOT suitable for glass or marble under15 to 25 point. Counter size is also most important. We will suggest alternative similar fonts where required

LOGOS
Please send logos in at least three different PC file formats .
Attach files to e-mail or send PC floppy disk. We do not accept Mac files or Zip disks.
Mail a clean hard copy to your contact as back up.

IDEAL FORMAT

Vector drawings are preferred for accuracy. Save all logo text as curves.
Formats: Adobe .ai (to version 8) /Corel .cdr (to version 8) also ppt /emf /cgm /wmf /drw /dsf

Bitmap Images are less accurate and a second choice. Bitmaps should be:--
* 300 dpi (dots per inch) minimum. This is essential.
* black and white line art (8 bit preferred which allows small files)
* Send at least in three PC formats - examples tif /bmp /pcx / wmf /ppt /ps
Web file formats jpg and gif are usually low resolution and do NOT engrave accurately

ALTERNATIVE BITMAP

MS Word or Powerpoint files of logos are usually not suitable. We require the original image imported into the file.

PAPER PROOF LAYOUT OF LOGO AND TEXT WILL BE SENT FOR APPROVAL PRIOR TO PRODUCTION
